ENESEGBE SONG

Enesegbe! I will give it my whole heart (2ce)

If I give it my whole heart

God will take care of me.

He will never never let me down

I will give it my whole heart

Enesegbe! You will give it your whole heart (2ce)

If you give it your whole heart

God will take care of you. He will never never let you down

You will give it my whole heart

Enesegbe! We will give it our whole heart (2ce)

If we give it our whole heart

God will take care of us. He will never never let us down

We will give it our whole heart

Values & Ethics

The values and ethics of the founders that endeared the Weppa-Wanno people to the club. The club started with members who had great ideas about the speeding development of Weppa-Wanno and vision to make a difference in this direction. Like every other organization in Africa, problems of pride and ego among members crept into it and those who felt despised advocated dissolution of the club. The leaders became helpless and agreed to dissolve of the club. The general secretary who held the key or presumed to hold the key to progress of the club resigned during the crisis and the club was in disarray. But Joseph Okhakia, working closely with the then president, late Peter Okhakumhe took upon himself the task of handling the secretariat for purposes of realizing the good vision of the members. With the support of few members such as Patrick Akhamiokhor, Patrick Dokpesi, Philip Idatsaba of blessed memory, Kenneth Atsomhe, Charles Ogiator and later late Yakubu Okponobi who joined to paddle the canoe of the club regained its ground and carried on. Members who could not bear the state of happening withdrew from the club. These were also pioneer members that were well valued such as Abu Agbonoga, Austen Mamedu who drafted the constitution of the club, Peter Adamu, Sunny Akhamiokhor, late Stome, late Tom Okpakhia and the likes. This narration becomes necessary for everyone to appreciate the founders and their vision contained in the object of the club that now follow.

ENESEGBE PRAYER

Sustain the unity of Enesegbe, Oh Lord

And steer it to achieve its goal

Inculcate in us the grace to serve the club with selfless love

Where there is darkness, show us light Where there is hatred, grant us love

Where there is misunderstanding give us wisdom

You are the maker of mankind and in You we trust We thank you for everything you have given to us

And may we serve you all the days of our lives. Amen.

CARDINAL PROGRAMMES

The Enesegbe club had programs that attracted dignitaries and very learned people in the society. Such programs include Annual lectures, quarterly magazines, parents’ night and later parents’ day, hospital visitations, annual retreat and picnic, essay and mathematics competition/prize giving and the like – very well valued and cherished. People like the current Okumagbe, HRM George Eghabor JP, late Hon. Obozuwa and late George Akhamiokhor were always looking forward to our programs including sponsorship of these programs. At the maiden edition of our Annual lectures, late George Akhamiokhor, in his opening speech while soliciting support for the club said: Usagbe club has the money but The Enesegbe club has the ideas. In a quick reaction at the hall, Senator Francis Alimikhena who attended and was the president of Usagbe club then said I agree that The Enesegbe club has ideas but Usagbe club also have ideas, not money. It was the toast of the day and thereafter. In a related development, when we visited Raypower 100 radio to invite people to our annual lecture, Agnes Nwabuwa, the program presenter asked us ARE YOU SURE YOU WILL CONTINUE THESE PROGRAMMES IN THE FUTURE? The chartered president, Peter Okhakumhe of blessed memory said YES, RAIN OR STORM WE MUST CONTINUE THE PROGRAMES.
